Doctoral Consortium

As a doctoral student you are invited for the P-12 Engineering and Design Education Research Doctoral Consortium.

This is a mentorship opportunity for Ph.D. students who are close to defend their proposal or are advanced in conceptualizing their dissertation topic. Students will receive mentorship from seasoned experts in the field and have an opportunity to discuss in depth their topics in a small setting.

The doctoral consortium will meet the whole day of April 26th. You need to able to be there the entire time (8:00am – 4:00pm)

Limited to 10 Ph.D. students, competitively awarded. Travel and accommodation to the conference will be paid for.

Please submit the following materials to jstrobel@purdue.edu by * extended * February 10th:

– Current CV

– Five-page description of dissertation topic (references not included in count) needs to include:
— Intro including research questions
— Literature Review
— Methodologies/Framework/Research Design/Methods/Population
– Recommendation letter from major advisor (sent directly by advisor to jstrobel@purdue.edu)
– Statement on the state of research in P-12 Engineering and Design Education (2 page including references)
